Khabib Nurmagomedov has been the face of mixed martial arts in Russia for a while now. ‘The Eagle’ is a world champion in combat sambo and has successfully transferred these skills into a UFC octagon. His mind-boggling run of 29-0 is the stuff of legends.
After calling it a day last year at UFC 254, Khabib has been spending time outside the octagon, getting involved in multiple business ventures. ‘The Eagle’ is now involved in everything from telecom to protein bars and an MMA organization.
It was recently reported that Khabib bought the Gorilla Fighting Championships and renamed it Eagle Fighting Championship. The Dagestani fighter hopes that the EFC acts as a gateway for talent to the UFC, and hopes to be a feeder league to the UFC.
