Khabib Nurmagomedov Provides an Update on Usman Nurmagomedov as He Prepares for His Bellator Debut

Khabib Nurmagomedov has transitioned well into the second phase of his career. This time around he will be in the corner of his fellow teammates and relatives as they aspire to reach the heights he has. Even when Khabib was an active fighter, he would always ensure to be present in corners when his teammates fight. 

However, since retiring, he has taken on the role more seriously. Along with AKA head coach Javier Mendez, Khabib is grooming the next set of Dagestani fighters to dominate not only the UFC but also various other promotions. 

Khabib has been in Las Vegas for a while. He first arrived arrive to help Islam Makhachev, who fought at UFC 259. Next up was Abubakar Nurmagomedov, who fought last weekend, and after that is the highly touted Usman Nurmagomedov.

Khabib Nurmagomedov takes to Instagram to thank manager Ali Abdelaziz 

‘The Eagle’, in his recent Instagram post, gave fans an update on who Usman Nurmagomedov who will fight on April 2 at Bellator 255. 

He said, “@usman_nurmagomedov is next, his USA debut April 2nd #Bellator255. Let’s go Brother and show them who you are. And I want to say huge thanks to my Brother @aliabdelaziz000 nobody in this game like you, you are always next to us”

Usman Nurmagomedov is an extremely exciting talent. Being a Nurmagomedov, it is a given that he is excellent in grappling and wrestling. However, he also is an extremely skilled striker with devastating knockout power. He has secured a mind-boggling 64% of his wins thus far via T/KO. 

Usman is currently on an 11-fight win streak. He has stopped his previous five opponents in a brutal fashion (four T/KO, one submission). He makes his debut with Bellator on April 2 as he takes on Mike ‘Magic’ Hamel.

Hamel is 1-2 in his last three fights and most recently lost to Adam Borics in August 2020. ‘Magic’ will aim to bounce back into the win column by derailing the hype train that is Usman Nurmagomedov.
