Boris Johnson said,Once again we are alas asking everybody to stay at home to protect the NHS to save lives and get the R down below one. I know we can, I know we will. It’s only just above one at the moment.”

The new lockdown has come in light of increasing coronavirus cases in the country. Additionally, the number of deaths has only increased in recent times. However, a shutdown could impact the UFC middleweight, who is set to fight in Las Vegas in a month’s time.

Darren Till takes on Jack Hermansson on December 5

Darren Till’s disapproval could have a lot to do with his upcoming bout against Jack Hermansson. After an incredible performance against former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, ‘The Gorilla’ will look to cement his position in the division with a huge win over the higher-ranked contender.

The newly imposed lockdown in England is likely to end by December 2. With the bout scheduled on December 5, it will be interesting to see what lies ahead for ‘The Gorilla’. However, Till has not mentioned any hindrances to his schedule due to the new lockdown.

Needless to say, Darren Till’s presence would be required weeks before the proposed date. There’s also a possibility that UFC could postpone the match-up to a later date. However, it might be too soon to come to any conclusion. ‘The Gorilla’ has his eyes set on the middleweight gold and will look to land a title shot with another win should he get past Jack Hermansson this December.
