Mike Perry Finally Finds an Opponent – Set to Return at UFC 255

Mike Perry has finally found a replacement.
Perry was scheduled to take on former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler on Nov. 21 at UFC 255. However, Lawler pulled out of the fight citing an undisclosed injury. If reports are to believed, Mike Perry will now take on MMA veteran Tim Means on the same card.
Platinum Perry is coming off an impressive unanimous decision win over Mickey Gall. The American fighter has been in limelight for several reasons. Needless to say, his upcoming fight invites a lot of attention. Earlier, Perry auctioned off his corner ahead of his much-anticipated bout against Lawler.

However, UFC President Dana White stated that “Platinum” cannot auction off his corner. During his fight against Mickey Gall, Perry was cornered by his girlfriend Latory Gonzalez. This was a decision n received mixed responses. Nonetheless, the welterweight contender picked up his first win after back-to-back losses inside the Octagon.

Mike Perry has a lot of momentum going behind him. Platinum has made a name for himself courtesy of his social media antics. Earlier, soon after Lawler’s decision to withdraw from UFC 255, Perry expressed his interest in facing rising contender Khamzat Chimaev.

Additionally, his feud with middleweight contender Darren Till brought him mainstream attention. Perry is an active user of social media and never fails to entertain his audience. Perry has also teased an eventual showdown against Darren Till. Needless to say, Perry will have to pick up more wins if he wants to take on the big leagues of the division.

On the other side, Tim Means will look to extend his winning streak as he takes on Mike Perry in the main card at UFC 255. The last time Means competed at a PPV card was back in 2016 in a No-Content against Alex Oliveira. While the UFC is yet to make the fight official, Perry confirmed the bout with the following tweet.

Perry is a veteran of the sport himself by all rights. Having competed 13 times inside the UFC Octagon, the welterweight contender will step inside the cage for his 14th professional MMA bout against a seasoned veteran in the form of Tim Means. The former KOTC champion will be competing in his 45th MMA bout.

UFC 255 will see Deiveson Figueiredo defend his flyweight title against Alex Perez. The hugely anticipated card will also see undisputed flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko defend her flyweight gold against Jennifer Maia.
