“MMA Has Taken the Number One Spot”- Former NFL Star Greg Hardy Speaks on His Love for the UFC

Greg Hardy, the former defensive end for the likes of Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys, has successfully transitioned sports. From the NFL to the MMA the ‘Prince of War’ has fared well in both sports despite getting into professional fighting fairly recently. he has transitioned sports and maintained a high level, which is a testament to his athletic prowess.
Hardy was drafted in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers. He spent four years with the franchise before being signed by the Dallas Cowboys. His career at the Cowboys was cut short because of his transgressions off the field. Subsequently, he took to the cage.

Greg Hardy speaks on football’s place in his life
In a recent interview, a reporter asked Greg Hardy which sport he liked more, whether it was NFL or MMA. ‘The Prince of War’ replied, “Ohhh, I would probably say they’re still even man. Just because there is nothing like the ball… putting on a pass, the camaraderie. I won’t get into it cause I might tear up…. As far as MMA goes, I’m falling in love with it. It’s taken that number one spot simply because it’s the new love…. This is my baby for sure.”

Hardy continued, “I put so much of my life and my energy into football, that’s where my passion comes from. It is my life. It has been my life and it will never stop being my life as far as the things that it has instilled in me. But like I said man, this new MMA kick is something unworldly. The new 2.0 G-Hardy is going to attack it like a beast.”

The former Football star made his professional MMA debut in June 2018 on Dana White’s Contender Series. He amassed three straight stoppage victories before being disqualified against Allen Crowder for illegal-knees. Since the loss, Hard has a record of 3-1-1.

His most recent fight was a unanimous decision win against a dangerous fighter in Yorgan De Castro at UFC 249. Hardy now takes on Maurice Greene the coming weekend and will hope to extend his winning streak in 2020.
