MMA Super Star Lauren Murphy Names Michael Jordan as Her Favorite Athlete

Lauren Murphy is one of the best Flyweights in the UFC and a pioneer for women’s MMA. Murphy has been in the sport for awhile and has been a champion in every organization that she has been a part of. ‘Lucky’ is a former champion in the Alaska Fighting Championship and Invicta FC. She is currently working on adding a third organization’s belt to her CV.

There is a common misconception about MMA fighters- they are extremely violent individuals. While it is true once the cage door closes outside the octagon, most fighters are the complete opposite to what they’re inside it. At the end of the day, MMA fighters are human and enjoy the simple things in life that their fans do as well.

‘Lucky’ to get a title shot in 2021?

‘Lucky’ has been on a tear recently. Ever since her loss to Sijara Eubanks, Murphy has bounced back impressively and has secured impressive wins over the likes of Andrea Lee and Roxanne Modafferi. She is currently 4-0 in the UFC and is ranked number three in the division.

Murphy most recently secured an impressive win over Liliya Shakirova at UFC 254. The UFC matched ‘Lucky’ against Cynthia Calvillo on the card.

However, a positive test ruled Calvillo out of the bout. Instead of sitting it out, ‘Lucky’ accepted a last-minute fight against Shakirova. If she is able to continue this run of form, she will definitely get a title shot in her next fight or after another win.
