There are just a handful of superstars who have been champions in two UFC divisions, and Henry Cejudo is one of them. The former feather and bantamweight champion announced his retirement last year, but now he seems to have changed his mind.

Cejudo is one of the greatest ever MMA fighters and now aims to do something that would further cement his place among the all-time greats- he wants to challenge for the featherweight title.

His reason for returning?

Henry Cejudo has had a long and rewarding career, but he still feels that he can achieve more, Cejudo said, ” I have two fights that I lack. And the reason for that is that no one believes I can win. One is against Volkanovski, and I know he doesn’t want to. He’s as short as I am. And another one I would like to fight with is Max Holloway. That would be David against Goliath.”

Not only is Cejudo interested in the featherweight title, but he also fancies his chances against the UFC flyweight No.1  Deiveson Figueiredo. Henry said, “Deiveson is strong, but when he goes to prepare to fight with me, it will be different. He doesn’t have wrestling, he doesn’t have the experience I have.”

Cejudo is a practical person and accepts the fact that his reasons for returning are monetary. ” I want to do things in the sport that nobody else did. I want the belt up to 66kg. I want money, gold, I was going to talk to women too, but I have a girlfriend, I can’t (laughs).”

Henry Cejudo: The best of the best

While talking about his return and his ambition to win another title, Cejudo even talked about his fellow UFC fighters, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Jon Jones. Cejudo said, “Neither Khabib nor Jon Jones, these guys can’t say that they did so much in the sport. None of them won an Olympic medal. I am Olympic champion, flyweight and bantamweight, I am very satisfied with my career. Nobody has done as much as Triple C.”
