It is often the case that the fighters bury their hatchets after the completion of their fights. The same thing has now happened with Hill and Craig. After the fight, both men showed mutual camaraderie and even embraced each other to shed off any rumored animosity.

The fighters added more proof to the camaraderie in the latest Twitter post from ‘Sweet Dreams’. The latter posted a picture of himself and Craig enjoying a party after their UFC 263 showdown.

Hill wrote, Me and  @PCraigmma are good so idc what anybody else is talking and not only did he get my drunk the whole night we straight turnt tf up!!! I’m blessed living my dream and meeting some of the most amazing ppl!!!”

Jamahal Hill vs Paul Craig- how it happened

Submission specialist Craig had promised before the fight that he will show his jiu-jitsu skills in the match. A promise that was made in the face of the undefeated Hill.

After the initial hustle, Craig worked his way towards attacking Hill’s arm. He locked in the armbar submission and extended his elbow. That resulted in Hill’s arm getting snapped, but it passed the referee’s eye and the match continued.

Paul even asked the ref before using some punches to seal the deal. The astonishing thing was Hill’s arm flapped around in the air like a rubber arm.

After the match, everyone, including fans and pundits, criticized the referee for overlooking the snapped arm. The incident caught even president Dana White‘s attention, and the latter blasted the ref during his post-fight conference.

“When an arm is flopping around like this and going both ways, you should probably stop the fight,” he said. “I don’t want to sh*t on Arizona, they’ve been so good to us. But that’s a rough one. I heard this guy’s a jiu-jitsu black belt.”

With this win, Craig ended Hill’s 8 fight win streak and improved his career record. He is now pushing his way towards a potential title matchup in the future.
