Paul Felder says nobody wants to give him a rematch
In an interview with MMAjunkie, an emotional Felder can be seen talking about his post-fight feelings while receiving stitches on his face. Felder is often looked like a stepping stone in the lightweight division. In this video, he acknowledges the fact that his efforts are often under-appreciated.
“Nobody wants to run it back with him, because even when you beat him, he sucks. I feel like this every fight, every fighter is like, no, got past him.”
He also talks about the victories he takes in his mind. Stepping in on such short notice was a win for him.
“Who would rather do it again? Even though I might not win this one, which fighter is willing to go back for another fight?”
Felder also says that he knows not many fighters are willing to give him a rematch as Edson Barboza did. Because victories over him are often discredited. And of course very few would risk giving him a rematch, as he is a dangerous opponent and a loss would harm his opponent’s rankings.
“Who is willing to face me again?” asked an emotional Felder.

Felder saved the day for the UFC
Not many fighters can step up on a 5-day notice against a championship-caliber fighter like RDA and go all the rounds. Felder can be seen as respectful towards the former champion and talks about the toughness of his opponent.
But the general fans and media don’t give him enough credit for how tough he is and for his fighting skills. But as the man himself says, stepping inside the cage is a win enough for him.
