Recently, Hollywood icon and megastar Sylvester Stallone appeared for an interview with TMZ. Just like many around the world, the main protagonist of the Rocky franchise is also a fan of combat sports.

He detailed his views on the aforementioned bout and gave his final verdict about the winner. “That is a real tough one,” he said.

“That one you can really flip a coin on. It’s like who hits first? But you have a really hungry young guy, and a guy who’s made a lot of money and is a sort of hungry.”

He added, “You have two guys who are a little, psychologically, a little more hesitant, but Poirier has the big-time advantage.”

Stallone isn’t new to combat sports. In fact, his character in Rocky 3 is a shade similar to that of McGregor. His character, Rocky Balboa, made a lot of money, but suffered a shocking loss when he was on top of the world. However, in the film, he persevered and regained his throne.

When asked about a piece of advice for McGregor, the megastar tapped into his iconic movie character and replied, “I’ll just give you a Rocky, just keep punching.”

Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor- The battle of equals

Poirier’s (27-6) and McGregor’s (22-5) history goes a long way. They first collided at UFC 178 in 2014 in a featherweight clash. ‘The Notorious’ got the better of Poirier in the first round, picking up an impressive KO victory.
