Rani Yahya vs Kyung Ho Kang Set for a Bantamweight Clash on July 31st

The UFC’s bantamweight division is on fire right now. There are several top contenders waiting in line for a title shot. Current champion Aljamain Sterling will defend his belt towards the end of this year or early 2022 against former champion Petr Yan.
Fighters in the bantamweight division will be aiming to position themselves well to earn a title shot or be in a title eliminator as soon as possible.
Rani Yahya and Kyung Ho Kang are two fighters who can take a huge leap forward in the division with a win. Both men are currently unranked in the bantamweight division but have secured impressive wins in their last outing.

Recent reports suggest that a fight between Yahya and ‘Mr Perfect’ is set for the event on July 31st. The main event and the location for the fight card are not known at the moment.

Yahya is one of the most decorated Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in the UFC at the moment. He is a multiple-time world champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has secured a mind-boggling 78% of his wins via submission. Yahya has been in the UFC for over a decade now and in that time has been a part of some epic fights.

He is one apiece in wins, draws, and losses in his last three fights in the UFC. His most recent fight was a second-round submission win over Ray Rodriguez. He will be aiming to build on that against the up and coming ‘Mr Perfect.’
Kang, on the other hand, has been in the UFC since March 2013. During that time, he has put together a few impressive win streaks. However, he has fallen short in key fights which would have placed him perfectly for a title eliminator or a title shot.

He is currently riding a three-fight win streak and most recently secured a split decision win over Pingyuan Liu in December 2019. ‘Mr Perfect’ has never won four straight fights in the UFC and will be aiming to rectify that with a win over a UFC veteran in Rani Yahya.
