Ryan Hall is one of the most promising talents at featherweight. ‘The Wizard’ has been struggling to secure a fight and has therefore taken matters into his own hands. Hall took to social media to propose an idea for his next bout in the UFC.

The 35-year-old (8-1) has his eyes set on fellow featherweight Dan Ige. While ‘The Wizard’ is ranked at #13, Ige is ranked #11. A win over Ige would do wonders for Hall in terms of UFC rankings and propel him into the top 10. It will also be a challenging fight for his return to the octagon.

Ryan Hall vs Dan Ige at Fight Island in January 2021?

Hall took to Instagram to call out his next opponent along with the date and location. The caption said, “Cleared to fight, and back to normal training, but still struggling to find an opponent. I know Sean Shelby will find a good one, but here is a thought:

Dan Ige is a warrior who always puts on a great show, has clearly demonstrated a willingness to test himself against the best, and we’re next door in the featherweight rankings. What do you think, (Dan Ige)? Fight Island in January?”

‘The Wizard’ marked his UFC debut with a win over Artem Lobov. “The Ultimate Fighter” season 22 winner has won all of his fights since, and he is now on a four-fight UFC win streak.

Hall was scheduled to fight Ricardo Lamas in August this year. However, an injury forced him out of the card. This means that ‘The Wizard’ has been out of competition since July 2019 and is looking at a return in January 2021.

Dan Ige, on the other hand, was on a six-fight win streak. With wins over the likes of Edson Barboza and Mirsad Bektic, among others. Calvin Kattar snapped his win streak on Fight Island in July. ‘50K’ is a highly ranked featherweight and will be looking to bounce back with a win over an up-and-coming Ryan ‘The Wizard Hall’ as they chase the champion Alexander Volkanovski.
