Sean Strickland reveals his mentality going into a fight

In the post-fight interview, Strickland was asked if he felt happier given that he knocked out such a tough opponent. ‘Tarzan’ replied, “Man I was going to that so angry. Even little things like when he was walking into the thing and prayed to god…. He prayed to god and thanked his kids, In my mind, I’m like f**k you. You’re a good father, I hate you…. After I look back, I’m like dude you’re an a**hole why were you bringing so much hate to this guy? He’s a good dude.”

Along the lines of having dark thoughts, Strickland continued, “When you’re in there you just find any reason to hate another human being…. People were coming up to me telling me he can’t take a fight next month because he has to be there for his children’s birthday. And I’m such an a**hole I’m like f**k you man, screw you and your great life. I’m going to try and break your face open. I’m going to take that from you, I’m going to orphan your kids. “
