‘See You Soon Friends’- Khabib Nurmagomedov Says He Is Planning on Opening His Own Gym

Although Khabib Nurmagomedov does not actively compete in MMA anymore, he has been working behind the scenes to help the growth of MMA as a sport around the world. Towards the end of last year, it was announced that ‘The Eagle’ acquired an MMA promotion and rebranded it as ‘Eagle Fighting Championship’.

His aim is that the promotion will serve as a platform for up-and-coming fighters, ultimately acting as a feeder to the UFC. 

Eagle FC’s recent event took place in Kazan, Russia. Following the event, Nurmagomedov took to Instagram to share his thoughts. He said, “Many thanks @tatneft_official for organizing and conducting our tournament @eaglefcmmain Kazan. Also, as part of this trip, I visited the city of Almetyevsk, where I met and talked with young athletes and examined the sports complexes of this city. July will be a busy month for ‘coach’ Khabib Nurmagomedov 

‘The Eagle’ has always found time to help his teammates by cornering them for their fights, even when he was an active fighter. However, since his retirement, he has increased his involvement in the development of his teammates as MMA fighters. He is seen cornering a fellow teammate almost every time they fight.
