Colby Covington is known as the ‘King of Chaos’ for a reason. The former interim welterweight champion does not hold back on information on anyone and causes mayhem with his revelations. He recently stated in interviews that he has a video of Dustin Poirier knocking out an amateur fighter and yelling ‘And New’. Which is contrary to the popular notion that Poirier is a ‘nice guy’.

In his latest interview, Covington reveals rather interesting information regarding Kamaru Usman and his long-time agent and manager, Ali Abdelaziz

He said, “I know how scared Usman is too (of the rematch). He is avoiding this rematch so bad. And he’s finding out you’re not the real friend he thought you were. That’s why he’s (Usman) sitting down and having meetings with other managers.”

Chaos’ continued, “And I just have to say, Marty had a meeting with CAA, they had a meeting at Swan in Miami beach, the design district. It is because Marty is not happy with Ali. Not only is Ali not doing what he promised Marty, he is not able to get him out of avoiding a fight with me. Marty does not want to fight me, Ali can’t find a way around it, so Marty is entertaining new managers and wants specifically CAA.”

Will Colby Covington vs Kamaru Usman 2 take place this year?

Kamaru Usman has been one of the most active champions this year. The welterweight king has defended his belt twice before the mid-way mark of 2021. Not only did he defend his belt twice, he did it in style knocking out Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal.

After his performance, White said that Covington would be next for Usman. And has doubled down on that statement multiple times. At this point in time, three is no concrete information that Usman is indeed looking for a change in management. However, regardless of the management, the fight against Covington is next for Usman.

Since ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has already fought multiple times this year, he might want to take a break before returning to action and therefore, the fight might take place towards the tail-end of this year or early next year.
