Ever since Khabib Nurmagomedov stunned the world and announced that he would not fight anymore, Dana White had been a ray of hope for all fans. The UFC supremo believed Khabib had one last fight left in him and that he could convince ‘The Eagle’ to come out of his retirement to make it 30-0 which is something his father envisaged.

White maintained that at UFC 254, emotions might have gotten the better of ‘The Eagle’, which is why he might have made a hasty decision.

In the time between him announcing his retirement and Nurmagomedov officially retiring, the two men met multiple times to discuss the future. Unfortunately for fans, White’s convincing powers were not good enough to lure ‘The Eagle’ back into the octagon for one last fight.

I’m going to be honest, because this guy come like…. Sometime he is nice, sometime he is not nice…. Anyways, it was very honest real talk with two real men. This is what I feel.”

‘The Eagle’ continued, “In the last meeting he come and he say. Hey what we gonna do? I say nothing change, nothing change….. My decision is no change. However, Khabib believes that by the end of this year or the beginning of 2022, the 155-pound division will have a new champion in Islam Makhachev
