Given her stunning record, Barber was touted as the future of the flyweight division. She was on an eight-fight win streak before suffering the first loss of her career against Roxanne Modafferi last January.

Therefore, the big question going into the fight was how ‘The Future’ would handle the first loss of her career and if she could bounce back to secure a win against a tough adversary in Grasso

‘The Future’ did look charged up, but she came up short against Alexa Grasso, who secured an impressive unanimous decision win over a tough contender.

With a win tonight, Grasso extended her win streak to 2-0. The Mexican fighter’s display was extremely well rounded. She showed impressive wrestling and grappling, which she has added to her excellent boxing as well.
