Jake Paul recently secured the biggest win of his career. ‘The Problem Child’ earned a split-decision win against Tyron Woodley in his first fight that went the distance. Paul answered a lot of his critics that night as he overcame adversity to not only make it to the later rounds, but also to secure a win.

Following the bout, in the post-fight interview, Paul and Woodley agreed to an immediate rematch if Woodley kept his promise of getting an ‘I Love Jake Paul’ tattoo. However, it appears as if ‘The Problem Child’ has moved on from the idea of a rematch with Woodley and would rather face someone else.

In a recent interview, he mentioned who he would want next. He said, “I mean honestly just from a personal standpoint, I would love for it to be Masvidal. Just cause of the sh*t talk, just cause of his name. Just cause he’s still in his prime era and there’s a lot of personal beef there. I just took out his boy Tyron.”

Paul continued, “But hopefully Dana [White] would let him out of his contract but we’re not sure if that can happen. But for me personally, I think that would be the toughest challenge, the toughest guy and the biggest name. The most relevant currently. I think that’s the one to make. I think it will happen at some point regardless, but that’s at the top of my list for sure.” (h/t mmafighting.com)

Is Jake Paul vs Jorge Masvidal a possibility?

Leading up to his fight against Ben Askren, Paul received little to no support from the MMA community. However, an exception was Jorge Masvidal, who teamed up with Jake Paul to take out a common enemy. But the relationship between the two changed once Paul was scheduled to fight Tyron Woodley.

Dana White would have to give the ‘go-ahead’ for a fight between Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul to take place. However, White has mentioned explicitly multiple times that he has no interest in conducting any sort of business with the Paul brothers. Therefore, getting a fight done as long as Masvidal is under contract with the UFC seems next to impossible.
