The main card at UFC Fight Island 7 was an extremely entertaining one with three of the five fights on that card ending with first-round knockouts. The main event itself was a fight of the year contender, as Max Holloway put on a record-breaking performance against Calvin Kattar. However, Italian fighter Alessio Di Chirico arguably produced the best knockout of the night at UFC Fight Island 7 against the knockout artist Joaquin Buckley.

Alessio Di Chirico shocks Dana White with his post-fight decision

After his stunning win against ‘New Mansa’, ‘Manzo’ attended the post-fight press conference. However, he did not stay long. He said that he did not like that the media only interviewed winners, and therefore he decided to skip this part of the Fight Night.

White replied, “I just found out that kid was mad, did you guys talk to him?…. I just heard that. Craziest sh*t I’ve ever heard. I saw him in the back and I walked by him and his team. I was like, ‘Hey congratulations’, and they looked at me like the f**k you want?. Seriously, they looked at me like they lost. I looked at Brian and said man that’s an unhappy crew, huh? What the hell is wrong with them, apparently they didn’t know they won.”

‘Manzo’ had been having a slump before his fight against ‘New Mensa’. From June 2019 to August 2020, Di Chirico lost all three of his fights against the likes of Kevin Holland, Makhmud Muradov, and Zak Cummings.

Di Chirico will be hoping to build on this spectacular performance and secure a few more wins if he is to gain a rank in a talent stacked division.
