Dana White is not one to hold back on his words. The UFC boss never holds back his thoughts on anything, be it his own business, politics, or anything in between. And if he does not like something that is going on, he makes sure that it is known. The most recent example of the same is a war of words online with Francis Ngannou’s manager,

Following the announcement of an interim title fight between Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane at UFC 265, Ngannou’s team made their feelings very clear regarding the situation. They said, “This comes as a complete shock. To make an interim title so soon, if you look at the history of this division, it comes as a surprise. We hope to get clarity and figure out something with the UFC soon”

Is there an underlying issue behind the UFC snubbing Francis Ngannou?

The UFC and Francis Ngannou have always been on good terms. He has been an active fighter and has never backed down from a challenge put in front of him.

However, during the period where Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic fought three times in an epic trilogy, Ngannou was sidelined for the better part of three years. During this time, he was extremely frustrated and often voiced his opinions on social media.

However, the UFC offered Ngannou a title shot as soon as the trilogy was done. After winning the belt in March this year, Ngannou promised to be an active champion, unlike his predecessor.

It was reported that the UFC wanted Ngannou to fight in June or August but the earliest Ngannou could be ready was by September. This prompts rumors that there is an underlying issue for the UFC snubbing their champion.

Ngannou recently shared his thoughts on Logan Paul’s mega payday against Floyd Mayweather. Therefore, there is a possibility that talks broke down due to financial disagreements.
