The heavyweight matchup between the two men will be the first fight on the main card. ‘Cigano’ is currently ranked 7th in the division, whereas ‘Bon Gamin’ is ranked 14th. The fight will be an excellent opportunity for both men to jump up a few spots.

Junior dos Santos has been in the UFC for 12 years now. During his time in the UFC, ‘Cigano’ has won the heavyweight belt and defended it once. He has also fought for the belt on multiple occasions but has come up short. He is currently 0-3 in his last three fights; all three losses have come via TKO.

‘Bon Gamin’ on the other hand made his UFC debut last August with a submission win over Raphael Pessoa. Since then he has fought two more times and is currently 3-0 in the UFC and 6-0 as a professional. His last fight was a decision win over Tanner Boser in almost a year ago.

‘JDS’ has secured a staggering 71% of his wins via T/KO and has averaged 0.91 knockdowns per 15 minutes. In his UFC career thus far, he has landed a mind-boggling 4.66 significant strikes per minute with a 48% accuracy while absorbing only 3.13 in return. Therefore, it’s no secret that ‘JDS’ will want to keep this fight standing.

Gane on the other hand has secured 50% of his wins via submission. In his UFC career thus far, he has averaged 3.57 submissions per 15 minutes. He will be looking to take the fight to the ground; however, it will not be easy given Junior has an 81% takedown defense.
