UFC 262 is a stacked card with some incredible fights on the night. Unfortunately, a few fights have had to be removed from the card and scheduled for later dates. While Nate Diaz vs Leon Edwards was one of them, Edmen Shahbazyan vs Jack Hermansson is the latest fight to be shelved.

The fight between the two middleweights was set to take place on the main card at UFC 262. The card is now down to 11 fights after Shahbazyan vs Hermansson was rescheduled.

Both men suffered losses in their recent outings and will be looking to bounce back. However, it will be easier said than done as they face quality opposition.

It was later revealed to Aaron Bronsteter that the fight was canceled as a member of Hermansson’s camp tested positive for COVID-19. However, the fight has been rescheduled immediately and will be on the main card at UFC Vegas 27 which will be headlined by Rob Font and Cody Garbrandt.

Edmen Shahbazyan suffered the first loss of his professional career in August last year. UFC veteran Derek Brunson stopped ‘The Golden Boy’ in the third round of their fight.

Prior to that, Shahbazyan was undefeated and was on an 11-fight win streak. It will be interesting to see how Shahbazyan bounces back after suffering the first loss of his career.

Hermansson, on the other hand, also succumbed to a loss in his last outing. ‘The Joker’ accepted a short-notice fight against Marvin Vettori and came up short against ‘The Italian Dream’ who won the fight via unanimous decision. He is 1-2 in his last three fights and will be aiming to get back into the win column next weekend against Shahbazyan.
