The second of three events on Fight Island saw an interesting clash between two of the best at welterweight. Michael Chiesa has looked amazing since his move up to middleweight. He took on arguably his toughest test to date in his new division in Neil Magny. ‘Haitian Sensation’ has the second-most wins in the division behind Georges St-Pierre.
Chiesa and Magny are ranked 8th and 9th respectively in the welterweight division. Both men are on a 3-fight win streak. A win for either fighter would have bolstered their claim to the 170-pound strap. However, it was ‘Maverick‘ who put on a clinical display and secured his 4th straight win in his new weight class
