UFC Vegas 27 takes place this weekend. An exciting bantamweight clash between former champion Cody Garbrandt and rising star Rob Font will headline the event. However, the rest of the main card is also stacked with some incredibly impressive fights that fans should not overlook. David Dvorak vs Raulian Paiva at flyweight is one such fight.

Dvorak and Paiva are ranked 11th and 12th respectively in the flyweight division. The belt will be on the line next month as Figueiredo and Moreno battle it out. Therefore, a win this weekend for either fighter will be a huge leap forward in the rankings. It will serve as a building block for a title shot.

David Dvorak vs Raulian Paiva is a must-watch fight at UFC Vegas 27 

Dvorak made his UFC debut in March 2020 with an impressive unanimous decision win over Bruno Silva. He then followed it up with another impressive unanimous decision win over Jordan Espinosa. Dvorak is currently on a 15-fight win streak and is undefeated in the UFC.

Paiva, who made his debut on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2018, lost his next two fights against the likes of Kai Kara France and Rogerio Bontorin. He bounced back with two back-to-back wins against Mark De La Rosa and Zhalgas Zhumagulov. 

The Undertaker’ has secured 42% of his wins via T/KO. Dvorak, who is a prolific striker, has landed an impressive 4.5 significant strikes per minute in the UFC. On the flip side, he has absorbed just 3.17 in return.

Paiva, on the other hand, is also primarily a striker. In his UFC career, he has landed an impressive 4.46 significant strikes and absorbed 4.89 in return. The latter statistic might be his downfall against ‘The Undertaker’.

The fight will most likely stay on the feet as both fighters are predominantly strikers. Given his recent form and the fact that he is a better striker, Dvorak should be able to secure his third win in the UFC.
