UFC Fight Night: Makhachev vs Moises will see an exciting clash in the men’s heavyweight division between Rodrigo Nascimento and Alan Baudot go down in the preliminary card.
Both fighters are coming into this fight on the back of a loss in their previous encounters. They will aim to get back into the winning stats.
‘Yogi Bear’ Rodrigo had a stellar career until he finally met his match against Chris Daukaus at UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs Sandhagen last year. He lost that fight via KO/TKO inside 45 seconds into Round 1. His career record now stands at 8 wins and 1 loss.

He has picked up 2 wins via KO/TKO, and six wins via submissions. His last victory came against Don’Tale Mayes last year in May.
Meanwhile, ‘The Black Samourai’ Baudot has a similar kind of record to that of Rodrigo with an addition of a loss. He has picked up 8 wins in 10 matches. 7 out of 8 have come via KO/TKO, and 1 via DQ. The DQ win came against Todd Stoute, 2 years back.

Rodrigo Nascimento vs Alan Baudot- Analysis
Rodrigo towers up to 6’2″ tall and has a reach of 80″. Baudot has a slight height advantage over Rodrigo as he stands at 6’3″ tall but falls by 1″ in reach.
Baudot is a clean striker. His stats are a testimony to it. Instead of pitting him against another striker, the UFC has given the fans to see two contrasting styles of fighters going head-on come this Saturday. A mere glance at Rodrigo’s career stat is enough to suggest how good of a grappler he is.
‘The Black Samourai’ is dynamite on feet but has almost negligible skills on the canvas. We have seen superior strikers and kickboxers getting demolished by the astute grapplers before they even could show their skills.

That being said, Baudot can’t be ruled out. As aggressive a fighter as he is, a timed punch or jab might end the night for Nascimento soon.
He could even take inspiration from Rodrigo’s last fight, where the latter was decimated by a superior striker in Daukaus.

Nascimento, meanwhile, will be aware of the weakness that Baudot possesses. He may feel it’s just about taking him down within the first couple of minutes and strangle him thereafter.
Final Prediction: Nascimento via first-round submission.
