Ion Cutelaba vs Dustin Jacoby at UFC Vegas 25 will most likely not go the distance

Ion Cutelaba made his UFC debut in June 2016 and succumbed to a loss against Misha Cirkunov. Ever since his UFC bow, he has had a few impressive wins sandwiched in between losses. Currently, Cutelaba is on a two-fight skid, having been stopped in both the fights. He will aim to get back into the win column this weekend.

Dustin Jacoby made his UFC debut on Dana White’s Contender Series with a unanimous decision win over Ty Flores. He then won his next two fights in the UFC. Jacoby is currently on a four-fight win streak and will aim to extend it this weekend.

The Hulk’ is a devastating power-puncher. He has secured an impressive 80% of his wins via T/KO. This is not surprising considering he has landed an impressive 5.24 significant strikes per minute in the UFC. Defensively, Cutelaba absorbs 3.21 significant strikes per minute. This might be a cause for concern against Jacoby.

The Hanyak’ is also an excellent striker and has secured 64% of his wins via T/KO. He has landed a stable 1.84 significant strikes per minute and has absorbed 3.52 in return. This will definitely be his downfall against a power puncher in Cutelaba.

Given recent form and performances, Jacoby should be able to secure a win. However, given his leaky defense, he is extremely prone to getting clipped by a power shot by Cutelaba.

Prediction:- Ion Cutelaba to secure a win in this light heavyweight fight via T/KO
