UFC Fight Night Curtis Blaydes vs Derrick Lewis will see an intriguing fight on its preliminary card. Former M-1 Featherweight Champion Nate Landwehr looks to build off his first UFC win against veteran fighter Julian Erosa, who is also coming off a win in his last UFC fight.

Both these fighters are unranked in the Featherweight division. Nate was supposed to be a big star, but faltered in his UFC debut. Erosa is solid for who he is, but has had a long enough career to give everyone an idea of what his potential in the sport is.

Landwehr is 14-3 across his MMA career but has split his two UFC fights with one win and a loss. Erosa has a lot more experience inside the cage, boasting a record of 24-8. However, he is 2-3 in UFC bouts, including the Dana White Contender series.

Both these fighters are way below Alex Volkanovski at Featherweight, but fighters need these fights to start establishing their resumes. Which one of these fighters manages to leave the night with a win?

UFC Fight Night: Can Landwehr live up to the hype?

This is going to be one hard fight to call, because either man could win in a number of ways. While they will definitely be mixing it up on the feet, Erosa will look to get Landwehr into a submission. Meanwhile, Nate will have to do his best to avoid those grappling situations. He is the superior striker, but Erosa never shies away from a battle.

For our prediction, we will guess that this fight goes to the judges’ scorecards. Both men are tenacious fighters and have the kind of skill-set that could result in a decision if Nate cannot figure out how to break down Erosa and vice versa. However, we presume that Landwehr would win a decision.

He is an active fighter that keeps pushing up on his opponents. His style is hard to deal with it over the course of a three-round fight, If Erosa can’t slow the offense from that end, it will be an uphill battle for him to win this.
