UFC has developed multiple avenues to bring in fresh talents like Dana White’s Contender Series and the soon to be returning Ultimate Fighter.
Meanwhile, they also sign top talent from other promotions. Michael Chandler is the biggest recent acquisition, with the UFC also announcing the signing of Paddy Pimblett.

However, the talent in the top rankings of the UFC is a fresh crop and the UFC is keeping that train going.
All these releases are of fighters coming off multiple losses. Espinosa was a valuable member of the Flyweight division, but it is hard to justify keeping someone who is 1-5 in his last 6. He last fought Tim Elliott.

Dobson is a former Performance of the Night winner. However, she has lost 2 consecutive fights after that which has led to this.
