There have been moments when the fighter demands that the fight continue. There have also been occasions where instant replays have not been used in order to give maximum leeway to the fighter who wished to continue in the face of adversity. At times, it has led to fighters getting more damage than necessary.
Many have also cited concerns about abrupt stoppages and wrong calls by the referee. Be that as it may, whenever the fight has been stopped, the fight has ended. However, that won’t be the case as the Nevada State Athletic Commission has accepted the new hybrid rules.
Additionally, a new position called “Review Official” has been created. This additional official can signal a pause in the action to the Octagon referee as and when required.
