A middleweight clash between Sean Strickland and Uriah Hall will headline UFC Vegas 33. Unfortunately for fans, the card that initially started out with 15 fights has now been reduced to 10. Over the course of the week, multiple fights had to be canceled because of positive COVID tests, missed weight, and other factors.
Just a few hours prior to the start of the event, it was announced that two fights had been canceled. The co-main event between UFC veteran Rani Yahya and Kyung Ho Kang was scrapped from the fight card as Yahya tested positive for COVID-19. Jared Gooden vs. Niklas Stolze was also scrapped to keep in line with COVID protocols. However, the promotion later backtracked and added the fight back to the card.
