Brian Ortega is one of the most dangerous featherweights in the UFC. ‘T-City’ as he is known is an extremely high-level black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under close friend Rener Gracie. This helps fans understand why he has been so proficient in submissions throughout his professional fighting career.

However, he is not a one-trick pony and has extremely good boxing and knockout power, which he has shown before. Ortega is an immigrant and his parents originate from Mexico. Moving to a new country was tough, and growing up in a rough neighborhood compounded his problems.

However, he stayed out of trouble and used martial arts as a way to stay disciplined and secure a good future for himself and his family. Being one of the top featherweights in the UFC comes with a set of perks.
