Conor McGregor is one of the biggest names in sports. ‘The Notorious’ boasts a huge following and is extremely well known. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that McGregor was in attendance for the recent VMAs that took place at the Barclays Center in New York.

However, for McGregor, the event was not all smooth sailing. Recent videos and reports suggest McGregor got into an altercation with Colson Baker aka ‘Machine Gun Kelly’ the famous American rapper.

Allegedly, the incident took place when McGregor walked towards ‘MGK’ for a photo. Baker declined to take a photo with ‘The Notorious’ which resulted in a heated exchange of words between the two men. Baker eventually pushed Conor McGregor, causing him to stumble backward and spill his drink. 

At this point, Conor McGregor lunged forward at Baker and tried to throw a punch at him. However, the security present on the site was able to disperse the matter before it got out of hand. ‘MGK’ is a die-hard UFC fan and is often spotted at UFC events. He was also present in attendance at UFC 264 when McGregor succumbed to a loss against Dustin Poirier.

Conor McGregor finds himself in one controversy after another 

During his rise to the top of the UFC’s ladder, McGregor was a brash, outspoken fighter who regularly engaged in mental warfare to get under his opponent’s skin. More often than not, this worked for McGregor, as his opponents crumbled under the pressure.

McGregor was an astute martial artist and never found himself in any kind of controversy outside the ring. However, lately, McGregor’s performances inside the ring have not been at the same level as they used to be. Also, McGregor is increasingly finding himself in situations he’d much avoid. The altercation with Machine Gun Kelly adds to a growing list of misdemeanors committed by ‘The Notorious’.

‘The Notorious’ has been out of action since his loss to Dustin Poirier in July this year. The Irishman is nursing a fracture that will keep him out of action for the better part of 2022 as well.
