Conor McGregor has had many iconic moments inside the octagon and is arguably the biggest superstar in the UFC. McGregor is known for being a knockout artist and is also supreme at mental warfare.
Back in 2016, McGregor was already the UFC featherweight champion. He would move up to challenge then lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez to become the first fighter in the UFC to hold two world titles simultaneously. Conor would go on to become the torchbearer of the phrase “Champ-Champ.”
A lesser-known fact is that Conor had achieved this same feat back in his Cage Warriors days. McGregor captured both the featherweight and lightweight belts of the promotion.

The UFC represents the highest level of combat sports in the world. Only the best of the best compete for world titles. McGregor would cement his legacy by winning both the UFC featherweight title and the lightweight title.

“I’ve spent a lot of time, Joe, slaying everybody in the company. Backstage, I’m starting fights with everybody. I’ve ridiculed everyone on the roster,” Conor said.
“I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, I’d like to take this chance to apologize…to absolutely nobody. The double champ does what the f**k he wants!”
A truly iconic moment for MMA fans to witness one of the biggest stars in the sport being at his most brilliance. The fans in the audience, the majority of them Irish, roared in cheers seeing Conor with his two UFC belts in the octagon.

McGregor kick-started the UFC’s 2020 with a dominant finish over Cowboy Cerrone. Now ‘The Notorious’ one seems to repeat history with a rematch against fellow contender Dustin Poirier.
The two lightweight stars first met back in 2014, when both Conor and Dustin were young into their UFC careers. Now, at the top of their game, they will look to run it back.
