His family has seen their fair share of struggles in New Zealand, but Adesanya has risen above it all to become one of the biggest names in the fight world.

With all the success he has enjoyed since 2018, Izzy had to give some back to the ones that helped him along the way.

The UFC 259 Countdown spotted Izzy gifting his mother a rather extravagant present. He drove up to his family home in a Porsche and then gifted it to his mother, who was overjoyed.

Adesanya talks about the cultural significance of giving a gift like that to a family member as well. However, everyone can agree that it is a fantastic gesture to give someone who supported him his entire life a gift like that.

Izzy’s mother, Taiwo Adesanya, is visibly choked up as she shared a moment with her son ahead of his impending title challenge at UFC 259.

Israel Adesanya: Is he ready to fight at Light Heavyweight?

Israel Adesanya is currently the UFC Middleweight Champion. However, his title fight next weekend will see him challenge Jan Blachowicz for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship.

It will be the main event of a supercard with 3 title fights. This will also be Jan’s first title defense.

The answer is actually ‘YES!’. Adesanya has fought through multiple weight classes over the course of his career in combat sports. He has fought at Heavyweight as a boxer and a kickboxer.

While the stakes are much higher, Izzy seems confident about pulling this off. This will certainly be an intriguing battle. Hopefully, we will get to witness some great back-and-forth action in this major title fight that could very well change the nature of the Light Heavyweight division in its entirety.
