Jorge Masvidal was a relatively unknown fighter up till 2019. However, a stellar run saw him rise from ‘just another fighter’ to one of the biggest names in the UFC. After a long layoff, Jorge returned to the octagon and stopped Darren Till in the second round.

Masvidal then knocked out Ben Askren in record-breaking fashion. He followed that up by headlining one of the biggest cards in UFC history against Nate Diaz and winning the ‘BMF’ belt. His spectacular rise in 2019 has been rewarded with multiple opportunities both inside and outside the octagon.

Most recently Jorge also took part in a rally with President Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. The activities are just a sign of people outside the UFC recognizing his star power and viewing him as more than just a fighter.

Masvidal is now rumored to make a return to the octagon before the year ends. He will most likely be facing former friend and teammate turned bitter rival, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington. However, there is no confirmation on the same. Nonetheless, MMA fans will hope they get to see this fight before the year ends.
