WATCH: Ronda Rousey Struggles to Take on the “Hot Ones’ Challenge

Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest names in UFC and WWE. The former Olympic Bronze medallist is one of the most accomplished female fighters of this generation. She was a pioneer for women’s MMA and has paved the path for many into the sport.

Rousey defended her belt six times in the UFC before losing her belt to Holly Holm. In her comeback fight, she was unsuccessful in beating Amanda Nunes and has since retired from the sport. Now, ‘Rowdy’ is with the WWE, where she is one of the biggest stars. 

Ronda Rousey struggles to handle “Hot Ones”

Rowdy’ recently appeared on Sean Evans’ YouTube show ‘Hot Ones’. In the show, the host brings in different guests, to eat chicken wings. The twist here is that the wings get hotter progressively. The guests are supposed to answer questions while eating the hot wings. 

In the interview, the interviewer asked Ronda questions about everything from her UFC career to her WWE career and her signature armbar. Towards the end, as the wings got hotter ‘Rowdy’ was struggling. Her face turned red as the spice increased and tears started flowing from her eyes. As she struggled to handle the spice ‘Rowdy’ said, “My tears are burning my face,” Rousey exclaimed. “I feel like the hot sauce went in my nose, I sniffed it up, it went into my tear duct, and it is, like, coming out burning my face.”

Ronda Rousey also revealed that chicken wings were one of her staples in her post-victory celebratory meal. The former UFC bantamweight champion is the first woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Prior to her loss against Holm, Ronda steamrolled everyone in her way. She made professional fighters look like amateurs and defended her belt an impressive six times. 

Rousey is a woman of many talents, she has acted in movies and authored a book, alongside her impressive list of achievements in combat sports. Though her UFC career did not end on a high note, she will forever go down in history as the person who paved the way for women into the UFC.
