Most rivalries in the sport end when the fight is over. Both fighters earn each other’s respect for the war that they were put through and for the courage that it takes to step into an octagon. However, there are cases where two men can not stand each other. They hate everything about the other person and everything that person stands for. Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier is the prime example of that in MMMA.

The two men have dominated their division for the better part of a decade. Even though Daniel is retired, their rivalry continues. However, the war is now online on Twitter instead of an octagon.

The hatred ‘Bones’ has for his compatriot is pretty evident and this clip shows the same. Ahead of his bout with Thiago Santos at UFC 239, a reporter asked Jon Jones who he thought would win the fight between Dustin Poirier and Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 242.

Jon said, “I quite frankly don’t like Daniel Cormier teammates. So I am rooting for Dustin Poirier.”

‘Bones’ would go on to pick wrong, as ‘The Eagle’ extended his winning streak to 28-0 after submitting ‘The Diamond’.

After his back-to-back losses against Miocic and Derek Lewis, Ngannou wreaked havoc in the heavyweight division. He won four straight fights and all four via first-round knockouts. This cemented his place as the top contender for the heavyweight title.

Although Francis was utterly dominated in his first fight, he has changed a lot since UFC 220 and it would be a good opportunity for him to showcase his growth.

Bones‘ will have his eyes peeled on the fight, as it is almost certain that he fights the winner of that fight. If he were to face Stipe and beat him, he would not only become a two-weight champion; he would have also beaten the greatest heavyweight of all time. Should he secure this win, it would further cement his legacy as the greatest mixed martial artist.

Who do you think Jones will face- Stipe Miocic or Francis Ngannou?
