UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has cemented himself as one of the biggest combat superstars of the world within just two years.

Kicking off his UFC career in 2018, Israel Adesanya is now the middleweight champion with two successful title defenses under his name. He has terrorized the entire division with victories over the best. In his recent title defense at UFC 253, it was just a matter of time until he knocked out Paulo Costa in the second round.

While many thought Costa would stop Adesanya’s undefeated run, ‘The Last Stylebender’ didn’t let that happen. Instead, he put a one-sided dominance to retain his belt. Hence, is no surprise that Adesanya has made a lot of fans now, and Nigerian singer Burna Boy is one of them.

After Adesanya’s victory over Costa, Burna Boy took to Twitter and applauded the middleweight champion. Although Adesanya is a New Zealander now, his roots belong to Nigeria.

Thus, there’s no way Nigerians aren’t taking pride in his win. Burna Boy posted Adesanya’s post-win mic time video on Twitter and wrote, “Way too big champion.” While Paulo Costa was yet to get to his feet, Adesanya delivered a fiery message on camera.

Apart from being the middleweight champion, Adesanya is also having the second-longest win streak in the division with 9 straight victories. He is only second to Anderson Silva now. However, it is one of the deepest rosters in the UFC and several killers are blooming at this point. Upcoming hot prospect Khamzat Chimaev has also set his eyes on Adesanya.
