Jairzinho Rozenstruik made a statement tonight with a win over Augusto Sakai. The heavyweight from Suriname bounced back brilliantly into the win column after a loss against Ciryl Gane in his last outing.
The heavyweight division is brimming with top talent right now. There are a lot of fighters who can challenge for the title with a few more wins under their belt, Rozenstruik is one such fighter.
Despite being knocked out by the current champion in less than a minute, ‘Bigi Boy’ has since improved his game by leaps and bounds. As he was ranked sixth ahead of the fight, ‘Bigi Boy’ will surely gain a few places once the revised rankings come out on Tuesday. Rozenstruik, 3-2 in his last five fights, will be aiming to build on his win streak in a bid to fight for the title as soon as possible. Most of the fighters ranked above him are either booked for a fight or have beaten him.

However, one heavyweight is ranked above him and hasn’t beaten him. This is Curtis ‘Razor’ Blaydes.

‘The Black Beast’ knocked out Curtis Blaydes in their title eliminator fight earlier this year which put to halt a four-fight win streak. This run included wins over the likes of Alexander Volkov, Junior dos Santos, Shamil Abdurakhimov, and Justin Willis.
‘Razor’ vs ‘Biggi Boy’ could be an epic matchup for both men. For ‘Razor’ it will be an excellent opportunity to test himself against a dangerous knockout artist in red-hot form. On the flip side, for ‘Biggi Boy’, it will be a huge stylistic test.
