Nate Diaz has become a huge star in the UFC. Following his first fight with Conor McGregor, Nate saw a meteoric rise in fame. The Stockton native, along with his brother Nick are among the biggest names of the promotion. 

Both men have a reputation of being no-nonsense fighters. The brother’s willingness to step into the octagon against anyone has earned them a lot of admiration amongst UFC fans. 

Following his second fight with Conor McGregor in August 2016, Nate Diaz went on hiatus. He had lost his second match against Conor via majority decision. Almost exactly three years after his last fight, it was announced that Nate would return to fight Anthony Pettis

His comeback fight was impeccable, considering he last fought three years ago. Despite being away from the sport for three years, it looked as though the Stockton native had not been away at all.

Following his win against Pettis, Nate called out Jorge Masvidal, which saw the infamous BMF title fight at UFC 244. The fight was stopped by the doctor because of lacerations above Diaz’s eye. 

Nate to join Nick for 2021 comeback?

Ariel Helwani recently shared on twitter a video of a lean and in-shape Nick Diaz. According to his manager, he had just completed a ‘test cut’, and is aiming to return to the sport in early 2021.

After his fight against Jorge, Nate had mentioned that he wanted the re-match right away. However, that has not panned out yet. Nate is always mentioned as a ‘Potential opponent’ for someone or the other.  It remains to be seen if Nate will join his brother for a comeback early next year.

In a throwback video found on twitter, following his comeback win over Pettis, Diaz was asked if would be interested in fighting Colby, he replied saying “Who is he?”

When the reporter named Covington, Nate responded, “I don’t know who that is so if we got somebody good to fight that’s who I wanna fight. That’s what I’m saying, That’s what I’m saying”
