Urijah Faber is one fighter that seems to defy age. ‘The California Kid’ is 41-years old and has looked impressive since returning to the octagon following his retirement. Faber has not competed in the octagon since December 2019 however, from his recent Instagram post, it does not seem as though Faber has stopped training.

The Team Alpha Male head honcho shared a picture of him on Instagram. Faber looked in impressive shape as he promoted TRIFECTA. The caption said, “Back at 40…ready to beat this for my next B-day! @trifecta thank u for the edge! 40% off a with code ITSTIME let’s go 2021”

Faber is a former WEC featherweight champion and one of the biggest names in the UFC during the 2010s. Though he did fight for the title a few times, Urijah had never been able to achieve his ultimate goal in the sport.

‘The California Kid’ announced his retirement in 2016 after a win over fellow veteran Brad Pickett. He then returned to the sport and secured an impressive knockout win over Ricky Simon before succumbing to a brutal KO loss against the current champion Petr Yan at UFC 245. Which means that Faber competed in the UFC over a year ago.

It would also be a good opportunity for both men to bounce back after recent losses and long lay-offs. Whether or not the UFC makes this fight happen remains to be seen as they might matchup TJ Dillashaw with someone higher up in the ranks.
