Although fans never got to see a fight between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov inside the octagon, a war of words ensues every so often between the two men. Tony Ferguson took to social media to first share a photo that compared the faces of the opponents he had beaten compared to the ones ‘The Eagle’ had beaten.
While Ferguson’s opponents were left in a bloody mess and almost unrecognizable, Nurmagomedov was seen choking out his opponents. This was followed by another post. This time around, ‘El Cucuy’ shared a clip of a face-off between the two men at UFC 209, which is one of the many times the two men were scheduled to fight each other.
The caption said, “Tira🍮Misu On 2”# You’ll SeeMeSoonEnoughBuddy ⚔️🕶 -CSO-Called It. # ConditioningSucks # KeepRunningFathead -Champ”

Khabib replied to the video saying, “You have a fight soon, your opponent is very tough and most underestimated in lightweight division, focus on him. I wish you and your family best, even though you look like a sh*t.”

Can Tony Ferguson bounce back against Beneil Dariush?
Justin Gaethje ended Tony Ferguson’s 12-fight win streak when the two men faced each other at UFC 249. Although, a case could be made that the extra weight cut could have severely affected his performance. However, when ‘El Cucuy’ lost to Charles Oliveira, there was absolutely no excuse for his performance. ‘Do Bronx’ dominated him for 15 minutes and almost secured a submission at one point as well.
