Secondly, during a match between West Brom and Liverpool, Ahmed Hegazi got away with a clear punch on Danny Ings. Under normal circumstances, Hegazi would have been facing a three-match ban and be out for the remainder of the season. The incident occurred in the second-half of the 2-2 draw between the 2 sides. Hegazi and Ings tangled on the turf and Hegazi was caught punching the striker in the stomach. The panel did not reach a unanimous verdict because one of the members found Hegazi not guilty of violent conduct. He appeared completely relaxed in the game, despite having clawed at fellow countryman Mohamed Salah?s face after the Ings episode.
