Mortal Kombat 11 DLC Teases Old Villians and New Possibilities

Mortal Kombat, famous for its violence and super-strong characters, is getting revitalized. Just hours ago, a new tweet emerged, which suggests that the plot will thicken further. NetherRealm teased a new storyline that will carry MK 11 forward. Mortal Kombat 11’s story left us at a cliffhanger, and the trailer picked up from there. 

“The Epic Saga continues,” was the message that followed the trailer. We can all have wild guesses right now, but this new universe is going to be super exciting. Mortal Combat Saga is one of the most intense storylines offered to us in any game. A full reveal will forecast on the 6th of May. Up until now, there are few certainties we are sure of— until then, a quick recap and on to some theories. 

Mortal Kombat 11- Where did it leave us?

Raiden and Lui Kang, the two protagonists, left at the end, and reappeared in the new trailer. The story left off with these two, as it was upon them to create a new history for the planet. While they were planning to rebuild with noble intentions, dark forces crept below. In the trailer, we see the return of “Shang Tsung.” As usual, he came with his band of evil sorcerers.

For Mortal Kombat Fans, Shang Tsung is one of the most superior villains we ever saw. Skillful, evil, and full of tricks; his return indicates something big is coming. The new story DLC featured will definitely open up unlimited possibilities for the new storyline.

MK 11 has already treated us to characters from an entirely different genre. Terminator, Spawn, Joker, these are all characters from popular culture. Besides that, even old characters have made their comebacks, and this definitely changes things. Mortal Kombat, NetherRealm’s prized and best gem till date, and they have done a brilliant work so far.

Mortal Kombat 11 is perhaps the best version of the entire franchise. Warner Brothers are as good as it gets when one is aiming for a kick-ass storyline. For some of us, the GOTY version will remain the OG Mortal Kombat game. However, MK 11 is soon to leave its predecessors behind in its rise towards popularity.
