Belarusian Victoria Azarenka has been playing tennis for quite a while. However, it has been a lot different for her ever since she gave birth to her son in 2016. Being a mother was naturally a huge change and in a recent advertisement for Nike, she wrote about it.

“As an athlete, being a mother meant stepping into a whole new chapter in my life. I am a proud mama, but also a proud maker and mover on the court and for motherhood. I love that @nikewomen is supporting mothers all around the world.”

Victoria Azarenka is back
The year 2016 was great for Azarenka as she became a mom, but unfortunately, she was not doing well on the WTA Tour at the time. In fact, this bad run of form had started in 2014, but the good news is that it ended this year.
The Belarusian finally played her best tennis and that led her to one of her biggest titles at the Cincinnati Open. After winning this, she carried her amazing form into the US Open too. There, she beat top players like Serena Williams, but ended up losing to Naomi Osaka in the final.

However, despite this loss, Azarenka is happy that she is playing some amazing tennis again. And now, she will want to continue this in the upcoming event, which is the Italian Open.
