Polish tennis star Iga Swiatek has quickly become a prominent face on the women’s tour. The 20-year-old rose to prominence with an incredible French Open win in 2020. This year as well, Swiatek won two titles on the tour and competed at the WTA Finals in Mexico.

Over the past couple of seasons, the popularity of Iga Swiatek has grown in leaps and bounds. The Polish youngster is involved in many off-court commitments. Recently, she added another feather to that cap by featuring on the cover of ‘Elle’ in Poland.

Iga Swiatek has become a prominent figure 

Swiatek recently featured in the January 2022 edition of the popular ‘Elle’ magazine. The 20-year-old player is amongst the top players in the women’s game and for her to feature on such a large platform was just a matter of time.

The magazine’s Instagram account posted the picture of Iga in a gorgeous black dress, the caption read, “She is twenty years old and belongs to the world’s top tennis players. She is the only Pole who won the Grand Slam tournament at Roland Garros courts and is in the top ten of the WTA ranking. But Iga Świątek, the cover star of the January issue of ELLE, is more than a sportswoman…”

Coming to tennis this season, Iga started off proceedings in Melbourne by coming as far as the fourth round of the Australian Open. After that, there were high hopes, but she was unable to defend her title at the French Open this year. She reached the quarterfinal before bowing out to Maria Sakkari. 

Amongst the Grand Slam events, she then reached the fourth round at the Wimbledon Championships and the US Open.

Nonetheless, we wish her all the best in her preparation for the next season. All eyes will be on her when she steps on the tennis courts once again.
