The retired Romanian tennis player Ion Tiriac recently hit the news calling Serena Williams out. However, the situation has got out of his hands straight to Alexis Ohanian Sr., the tennis champion’s husband.
At first, the Mutua Madrid Open owner Tiriac publicly stated that the 23-time Grand Slam winner should retire. He added claiming that the 39-year-old will never play in Madrid again.
This is not the first time the 81-year-old has criticized the current World No. 11 of women’s tennis. He had attacked the age and weight of Williams during the 2018 season.
