Jannik Sinner, the youngest player in top-100, desires to continue his meteoric rise and defeat his idol Roger Federer at the Wimbledon Championships. Rafael Nadal is an inspiration for the youngster who aspires to follow the footsteps of the Spaniard.
The 18-year-old was unknown before the start of the 2019 season. However, one year later, he is one of the promising stars on the tour. Finishing the last season with his first big scalp at the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan, he is now setting his sights on the top-50.

“I hope Federer will play another year”: Jannik Sinner
Sinner has experienced a golden opportunity to train with the two Goliaths of the sport – Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Inspired by the two legends, he dreams of beating the Swiss legend at his favorite slam.
“I am 18 years old. I want to play,” said Sinner. “The more I play, the more I enjoy. I would like to win the US Open. My big dream is to beat Roger Federer at Wimbledon. I hope Federer will play for another year, so our match on the Centre Court is postponed until 2021.”

Jannik further added: “I am also inspired by Rafael Nadal. I trained with Rafa in Melbourne. I would like to have his personality. The toughest goal is to play at his level and reach his consistency.”

Sinner has a mature style of play. He is very strong off both sides and understands when to come forward to the net. He certainly has all the weapons to destroy his opponents. However, he has to be patient to achieve his goals.
“The main enemy in tennis is to have a rush. My coach Riccardo Piatti knows that I am ambitious, but he asks me to be patient. I will stay patient,” he concluded.
