World No.2 Novak Djokovic is one of the greatest tennis players in the history of the sport. However, the Serbian has suggested that he will not put any pressure on his son to follow his footsteps as he also likes martial arts along with tennis.
The defending champion opened up about his son Stefan’s desire to playing tennis after his fourth-round straight-sets victory over Diego Schwartzman at the Australian Open 2020 on Sunday.

“They’re trying different things”: Novak Djokovic
The 32-year-old explained that his five-year-old Stefan has started playing tennis but he also likes martial arts and football. He also revealed that sometimes practices with his son sometime.
“There is no dynamic there is just it’s spontaneous. There are really no rules in terms of them needing to play tennis or any other sport. It’s just whether there is desire or passion or love for them to do that and if there is then we do it and I’d like them to be active. They’re trying different things,” Djokovic explained.
“My son likes martial arts and football and tennis but he likes to play with me, and with his best friend. He doesn’t like to play with too many other people,” Djokovic said when asked about Stefan’s development.

“I’ll be working on becoming his favorite player”: Djokovic
The Serb divulged that his son gets more opportunities to play tennis when he travels with him. He disclosed that the two play some tennis on the side courts or practice courts.
“We’ve done that in the past and just to see him smiling on the tennis court that’s all I need to see obviously,” Novak added.
However, even Novak Djokovic is unsure about his son’s favourite player but he desires to become Stefan’s favourite player. “He still hasn’t expressed who his favourite player is. I hope I’ll be working on becoming his favorite player,” Djokovic concluded.
