With the clay court season half way done, the grass court season isn’t far away. As much as we’re excited for the remainder of the clay court season, we’re equally excited for grass court season as well. It will mark the return of Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray back to professional Tennis. Nadal will be a formidable force to reckon with, as well, considering his return to form.

While Federer has already announced his return to Tennis with the Stuttgart Open, Queen’s Club Championship has released their star studded lineup for the ATP 500 Tournament. While Federer misses it every year, despite Queen’s being labelled as one of the most prestigious grass court tournament, many other players are set to play the tournament, which also marks as a good practice for the Wimbledon.

“To see six of the world’s top 10 players on our entry list before you even get to the names Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka, Milos Raonic, Feliciano Lopez, Nick Kyrgios and the British number one Kyle Edmund really whets the appetite for a fantastic week of tennis,” said tournament director Stephen Farrow.

“We can’t wait to get started.”

While everyone will see how Nadal fares at the grass court tournament, eyes will also turn towards Andy Murray, who is returning from a hip injury. He has dominated the Queen’s Club Championship winning the title a record 5 number of times. Stan Wawrinka will also be another play to watch out for, considering Wimbledon is the only Slam he needs to win to complete a Career Slam.

Roger Federer, the king of grass court, surprisingly has never won the Queen’s Club Championship. His current schedule doesn’t include the tournament, but we never know what he might decide in the future.
